IndiGo CEO Says Airline Back to Normal Operations After Recent Disruptions

IndiGo Chief Executive Officer Pieter Elbers addressed employees through a video message on Thursday, marking the successful restoration of the airline's extensive network comprising 2,200 daily flights following severe operational disruptions. The announcement underscored the collective efforts that enabled the carrier to regain stability in a challenging period.
In the nearly three-minute address, Elbers emphasized that the airline's immediate priorities revolve around three core pillars: enhancing resilience, conducting thorough root cause analysis, and focused rebuilding. He acknowledged the difficulties encountered in recent weeks but commended the unwavering commitment of the workforce in navigating the crisis.
The CEO extended gratitude to various teams, including pilots, the operating control centre, and customer service personnel, for their pivotal roles in resuming normal operations. He highlighted the spirit of mutual support among employees, which proved instrumental in managing passenger needs and restoring flight schedules efficiently.
