Forbes June 2026 Rankings: Musk Leads as Ellison Dell Overtake Zuckerberg
Forbes June 2026 rankings show Ellison and Dell overtaking Zuckerberg amid AI surge.
The world's wealthiest individuals continued to see their fortunes grow in June 2026 as technology stocks surged on the back of expanding investments in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and digital infrastructure. According to the latest billionaire rankings, the combined wealth of the world's ten richest people has approached $2.9 trillion, reflecting strong market performance and increasing investor confidence in technology-driven businesses. The gains were particularly significant among executives and founders associated with the AI sector.
Elon Musk retained his position as the world's richest person by a considerable margin. The Tesla and SpaceX chief added approximately $53 billion to his net worth during May, further extending his lead at the top of the global wealth rankings. Musk's fortune continues to be driven primarily by the performance of his technology and aerospace ventures, which remain closely watched by investors worldwide.
The most significant increase in wealth during the month was recorded by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison. His net worth reportedly rose by $71 billion, bringing his estimated fortune to around $276 billion. Analysts attributed the sharp increase largely to investor optimism surrounding Oracle's growing role in artificial intelligence infrastructure and cloud computing services, sectors that have experienced substantial growth amid the ongoing AI boom.

Michael Dell, founder and chief executive of Dell Technologies, emerged as the second-largest gainer during the period. His wealth increased by approximately $67 billion as Dell Technologies benefited from strong market enthusiasm for companies positioned to support AI-related hardware and infrastructure demands. The gains enabled both Ellison and Dell to move higher in the global rankings, surpassing several other prominent billionaires.
Meta Platforms chief executive Mark Zuckerberg experienced a comparatively modest increase in wealth, adding around $7 billion during the month. Despite the gain, Zuckerberg slipped to seventh position in the rankings as the share performance of Meta lagged behind several other major technology firms. At 41 years old, he remains the youngest individual among the world's ten richest people, reflecting the continued influence of younger technology entrepreneurs on global wealth rankings.
The latest rankings underscore the growing impact of artificial intelligence on financial markets and personal fortunes. As investors continue to channel capital into companies associated with AI development, cloud infrastructure, and advanced computing technologies, technology sector leaders have remained among the primary beneficiaries. The trend has reshaped the global billionaire landscape, with wealth creation increasingly tied to innovation and digital transformation across industries.
