Eastern Railway Jobs 2025: No Exam for 10th, 12th Pass Athletes

The Railway Recruitment Cell, Eastern Railway (RRC/ER), has announced its Sports Quota Recruitment 2025, opening 50 vacancies in Group C and Group D positions. This opportunity, detailed in the official notification, targets candidates with a passion for sports and minimal educational qualifications. The online application window will open on September 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM and close on October 9, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Eligible candidates must be aged 18 to 25 as of January 1, 2025, and meet specific educational criteria: Level 4/5 requires graduation, Level 2/3 requires Class 12 or equivalent (or 10th with ITI/Apprenticeship), and Level 1 requires Class 10 or equivalent/ITI/NAC. Additionally, candidates must have notable sports achievements, such as representing India in international events like the Olympics or securing top ranks in national or university-level competitions. Disciplines include archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, hockey, kabaddi, volleyball, swimming, and table tennis.
The selection process prioritizes sports prowess, with 40 marks for trials (assessing skills, fitness, and coach’s observations), 50 marks for sports achievements, and 10 marks for educational qualifications, followed by document verification and medical examination. Application fees are Rs 500 for General/OBC/EWS male candidates (Rs 400 refunded post-trial) and Rs 250 for SC/ST/Women/Minorities/EWS (fully refunded post-trial). Salaries range from Rs 18,000–Rs 45,000 per month, depending on the level.
