Delhi Five-Star Rooms Jump to Rs 1-5 Lakh Per Night for India AI Summit
Delhi five-star hotel rates surge to Rs 1-5 lakh per night with high occupancy ahead of the AI summit.
Hotel room prices across the national capital have surged sharply ahead of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, with several luxury properties reporting near-full occupancy and nightly tariffs climbing to as high as ₹5 lakh. The summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in central Delhi from February 16 to 20 and is expected to draw a large influx of international delegates, technology leaders, and policymakers.
Hotels across New Delhi and the wider NCR region are witnessing unprecedented demand during the summit period. According to industry estimates, the event has received more than 35,000 registrations from participants worldwide, placing significant pressure on premium accommodation options, particularly five-star and business-class hotels located close to the venue.
As a result, room rates that typically range between ₹20,000 and ₹40,000 per night have risen steeply. Travel booking platforms show that during peak dates—especially February 19 and 20—prices at several luxury hotels have crossed ₹1 lakh per night, with select high-end suites being listed between ₹4 lakh and ₹5 lakh.

Aloke Bajpai, Chief Executive Officer of travel portal Ixigo, said hotel pricing in Delhi NCR has been directly impacted by the summit. In a post on social media platform X, he noted that several five-star hotels are charging ₹1 lakh or more per night between February 16 and 20 due to the surge in demand linked to the global event.
Flagship properties such as The Leela Palace, ITC Maurya, and Taj Palace have raised tariffs significantly for the summit period. Central Delhi hotels, including The Imperial, Shangri-La Eros, and The Park Hotel, are nearly sold out for peak dates, with remaining inventory either priced in the lakhs or subject to minimum-stay conditions.
The India AI Impact Summit is being positioned as the largest of the four global AI summits held so far. It is expected to host delegates from over 100 countries, including 15 to 20 heads of government, more than 50 ministers, and representatives from over 40 global and Indian companies. Announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit will be the first global AI gathering hosted in the Global South.
