Chandrababu Naidu Holds Key Talks With Bill Gates In Amaravati

Meeting focuses on development initiatives, innovation and potential partnerships.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates at the state secretariat in Amaravati on Monday to discuss potential collaborations in technology, public health, and development initiatives.

Officials said the meeting focused on leveraging innovation and digital solutions to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in the state. Naidu is understood to have outlined Andhra Pradesh’s priorities in areas such as healthcare systems, education reform, and the use of data-driven platforms to enhance administrative efficiency.

Gates, who chairs the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has been involved in several initiatives across India aimed at improving public health outcomes, agricultural productivity, and financial inclusion. Discussions reportedly explored how existing programmes and partnerships could be expanded or adapted to support Andhra Pradesh’s development agenda.

The Chief Minister’s Office said the interaction underscored the state government’s emphasis on technology-led growth and global partnerships. Naidu, known for promoting digital governance models during his earlier tenure, reiterated his commitment to attracting investments and fostering innovation-driven development.

The meeting assumes significance as Andhra Pradesh seeks to position Amaravati as a hub for administration and economic activity. Officials indicated that follow-up discussions would be held at the departmental level to translate the broad areas of cooperation into actionable projects.
