BJP Leaders Claim India Set to Become World's Third-Largest Economy Under PM Modi

BJP leaders hail PM Modi's leadership as India nears becoming world's third-largest economy.

India is poised to achieve a major economic milestone, with BJP leaders asserting that the country will soon become the world’s third-largest economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They highlighted India’s rapid economic ascent and growing global influence as signs of sustained development and strong governance.

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi pointed out that India has already overtaken Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy, surpassing the United Kingdom. He described this achievement as historically significant, noting that India’s rise above its former colonial ruler reflects the country’s transformation and renewed confidence. Saraogi said the current trajectory makes India’s move to third place inevitable.

BJP MP Ajeet Gopchade echoed these sentiments, crediting the government’s inclusive development agenda. He said policies focused on the poor, farmers, labourers, and women have strengthened the economy at the grassroots level. According to him, Prime Minister Modi’s leadership treats all 1.4 billion Indians as one family, fostering unity and collective growth.

BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain emphasised India’s growing global reputation, stating that trust in the Indian economy has increased both domestically and internationally. He noted that countries across the world are keen to deepen ties with India, citing the Prime Minister’s recent foreign visits and international honours as evidence of rising global respect.

Economic analysts attribute India’s rise to strong GDP growth, increased foreign investment, and expansion in industrial, digital, and infrastructure sectors. With the economy now valued at around $4 trillion, projections linked to the International Monetary Fund suggest that if current trends continue, India could soon surpass Germany to become the world’s third-largest economy after the United States and China.
