Ather Energy Q1 Results Show Sharp Revenue Growth, Lower Net Loss

Ather Energy reports higher revenue and reduced Q1 loss.

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy Ltd. reported a significant improvement in its financial performance for the April-June quarter, with its consolidated net loss narrowing to Rs 51 crore compared with Rs 178 crore in the same period last year. The company benefited from strong demand for electric vehicles, which helped drive a sharp increase in revenue and improved operational efficiency.

Ather Energy’s revenue from operations rose 88.7 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,216.9 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 644.6 crore reported in the corresponding period a year earlier. The growth was supported by higher sales volumes and increasing adoption of electric two-wheelers in the market. The company said the results reflected improved business momentum during the quarter ended June 30.

The company also recorded improvement at the operating level, with EBITDA loss narrowing significantly to Rs 33.4 crore from Rs 134 crore in the previous year’s June quarter. Ather attributed the reduction in operating losses to better cost management, higher volumes and improved operating leverage as production and sales expanded.

The financial results were approved by Ather Energy’s Board of Directors during a meeting held on August 3, along with the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial statements for the quarter. The company’s improved quarterly performance comes as the electric vehicle sector continues to witness increased consumer interest, supported by changing mobility preferences and growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions.

Along with approving the financial results, the board also cleared the allotment of 367,875 equity shares under the company’s Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) scheme. It also granted 80,223 employee stock options under the Ather Energy ESOP 2025 Plan as part of its employee incentive programme.

For the first quarter, Ather Energy reported a revenue of Rs 1,217 crore, an improvement from Rs 645 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s net loss reduced to Rs 51 crore from Rs 178 crore, while EBITDA loss narrowed to Rs 33.4 crore from Rs 134 crore. The performance indicates progress towards improving profitability as the company continues to expand its presence in India’s fast-growing electric mobility market.
