Apple Plans New Store in Hyderabad: Expansion in India Continues

Apple may open its first retail store in hyderabad soon

Apple appears to be accelerating its retail expansion in India, with new job listings suggesting that the company may soon open its first Apple Store in Hyderabad. The development comes shortly after the iPhone maker confirmed plans to launch a second Apple Store in Mumbai, reinforcing its growing focus on the Indian market.

Currently, Apple operates five branded retail stores in India, located in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Noida. The most recent store was inaugurated in December 2025 at the DLF Mall of India in Sector 18, Noida, marking Apple’s second outlet in the Delhi NCR region. The company’s first Indian Apple Store opened in August 2023 at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in the Jio World Drive Mall.

Fresh hiring activity has now pointed to Hyderabad as the next potential destination. Apple has listed three retail roles on its India careers page—Manager, Senior Manager, and Store Leader—specifically for its Apple Retail division in Hyderabad. While the company has not officially announced the store’s location or opening date, the job postings indicate that groundwork for a physical retail presence in the city is underway.

According to the job descriptions, the Senior Manager role will involve leading multiple teams, including store managers, overseeing recruitment and training, and maintaining high performance standards. The position also requires active engagement on the store floor, interacting regularly with employees and customers to ensure a consistent Apple Store experience.

The store leader role, meanwhile, will focus on building and guiding retail teams while engaging customers in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. Apple is seeking candidates with prior experience in managing retail or sales teams, highlighting its emphasis on strong leadership as it expands its physical footprint.

The potential Hyderabad store would be Apple’s sixth retail outlet in India and its first in Telangana. The move aligns with CEO Tim Cook’s recent remarks during the company’s quarterly earnings call, where he confirmed that Apple plans to open additional stores in the country “soon,” underscoring India’s increasing importance in Apple’s global growth strategy.
