The AI Impact Summit 2026, taking place in New Delhi from February 16 to 20, promises to be one of the world’s largest gatherings on artificial intelligence. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit will bring together policymakers, heads of state, business leaders, AI startups, and researchers to chart a global roadmap for AI governance, ethics, and innovation.

Key topics on the agenda include responsible AI use, workforce transitions amid automation, child safety in the digital age, and international collaboration on AI research. Organizers expect over 2.5 lakh visitors, including government officials, industry leaders, and academic delegates from across the globe.

Several world leaders are confirmed to attend, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Heads of multilateral organizations, such as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, are also slated to attend.

Alongside the summit sessions, a global AI Expo will feature 13 country pavilions from nations including Australia, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Switzerland. The expo aims to showcase international innovations, collaborations, and research breakthroughs in artificial intelligence.

Organizers anticipate that the summit will foster cross-border partnerships, encourage knowledge exchange, and produce policy frameworks supporting safe and ethical AI adoption. With top CEOs from firms like Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Adobe, Qualcomm, and Salesforce present, India is positioning itself as a global hub for AI innovation and strategic dialogue.

The summit also serves as a platform for countries to announce joint AI initiatives, partnerships in emerging technologies, and collaborations to address global challenges, solidifying India’s growing role in shaping the international AI agenda.
