CTET September 2026 Exam to be Held on December 12-13, Check Full Schedule

CBSE announces CTET September 2026 exam dates for December.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the examination schedule for the September 2026 edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, with the 22nd edition of CTET scheduled to be conducted in December. Candidates who have registered for the examination can check the official notification and related updates on the CTET website at ctet.nic.in.

According to the official notice, the CTET September 2026 examination will be held on December 12 and 13, 2026. The examination will consist of two papers, Paper I and Paper II, and candidates are required to carefully check the shift timings and reporting instructions before appearing at their allotted examination centre.

Paper II will be conducted in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 noon, while Paper I will be held in the evening shift from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Candidates appearing for Paper II must report at the examination centre by 7:30 am, while those appearing for Paper I must report by 12:30 pm. The reporting time has been fixed 120 minutes before the commencement of the respective examination.

The board has also clarified that candidates arriving after the commencement of the examination will not be permitted to enter the centre. Candidates reporting after 9:30 am for Paper II or after 2:30 pm for Paper I will not be allowed to appear for the examination. Applicants have therefore been advised to reach their centres well in advance to complete the entry and verification procedures.

The examination city and the date of examination allotted to each candidate will be made available on the CTET portal 15 days before the examination. The admit card, which will contain details of the examination centre, is expected to be released for download two days before the scheduled examination. Candidates should regularly monitor the official portal for further announcements and updates.

The CTET qualification is applicable to schools under the Central Government, including Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti schools, Central Tibetan Schools and schools under the administrative control of several Union Territories. It also applies to schools in Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
