Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya to finish by April 30 at total cost of Rs 1,900 crore.

Construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is expected to be completed by April 30, according to Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee. Addressing reporters on Saturday after a two-day committee meeting, Mishra provided updates on timelines, project costs, and the transition of responsibilities from contractors to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The overall cost of the temple project is estimated at approximately Rs 1,900 crore, of which nearly Rs 1,600 crore, including GST, has already been disbursed. The expenditures cover civil construction, architectural work, stone carving, and associated infrastructure on the temple premises, which has been meticulously planned to meet both traditional design and modern safety standards.

Key contractors Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) are set to exit the temple complex upon completion of construction on April 30. Both companies have offered a three-year warranty for the work they executed, and a small team from each organization will remain temporarily on-site for maintenance and technical support during the initial handover phase.

The committee meeting also reviewed progress on intricate stone carvings, decorative elements, and landscaping around the temple, ensuring that the project aligns with both spiritual and architectural objectives. Officials confirmed that the project remains on schedule, maintaining expectations for a grand completion ahead of the upcoming festive season, cementing the temple as a landmark cultural and religious site.
