Ram Temple Construction Completed; Focus Shifts To Devotee Safety And Compliance
Ram Temple construction completed; Trust to finalize compliance, safety inspections, and visitor arrangements by April-end.
The construction of the Ram Temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site has now been completed, and the focus has shifted to achieving full compliance with all operational, legal, and safety requirements by the end of April, Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee for the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, said on Saturday. Misra made the remarks ahead of a crucial meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, where important decisions regarding temple operations, visitor management, and safety arrangements are expected to be finalised.
Addressing reporters, Misra explained that the current review focuses on several key areas, including vendor payments, submission of required building documents, and resolution of approximately 50 compliance-related issues. He emphasised that each of these matters is being carefully examined to ensure that all questions are addressed and that the temple is fully compliant with regulations by the targeted timeline of April-end.
He also mentioned that project engineers and key officials from Larsen & Toubro Limited and Tata Group will have their roles and responsibilities formally assigned and finalised by the end of April, ensuring that all aspects of the temple’s functioning and maintenance are in capable hands.

A major focus of the review is the temple’s boundary wall, which is considered a critical safety feature. Misra stated that the construction of the wall was thoroughly inspected, with recommendations from the local police department incorporated to address potential security concerns. In addition, he highlighted the construction of 25 watchtowers across the complex. A mock watchtower was recently inspected and approved, and the remaining towers will be built according to the approved specifications, enhancing the overall safety and monitoring of the temple premises.
The Ayodhya temple museum is another area receiving detailed attention. Misra said that a committee has been formed to review the museum’s script and the technology to be used for displays. The committee’s approval process will be finalised soon, enabling the tender process for the museum’s construction and technological setup. The museum is expected to complement the temple complex by educating visitors about the historical and cultural significance of the site.
The Trust is also expected to discuss arrangements for darshan at the seven auxiliary temples within the complex, including the Sapt Rishi temples along the parikrama path. These temples will be opened to devotees after the upcoming Ram Navami celebrations. Discussions will further cover how religious ceremonies and events will be conducted going forward. Sources indicate that large-scale events may be scaled down in favour of simpler, more traditional rituals, with flag-hoisting ceremonies at the seven temples likely to be conducted in a restrained manner to maintain spiritual sanctity.
