PM Modi Tells Students: Prioritise All-Round Development Over Exam Scores

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday urged students to look beyond exam results and focus on building a strong foundation for life, stressing that marks alone cannot define success. Addressing students during the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, the prime minister emphasized the importance of all-round development and long-term growth. He encouraged youngsters to view examinations as just one phase in a much larger journey.

Speaking during the interactive session, PM Modi advised students to balance academics with rest, hobbies and skill development. He said maintaining physical and mental well-being is essential to achieving consistent progress. According to him, a healthy routine helps students manage stress and perform better not only in exams but also in life.

“The ultimate goal cannot be results in an exam, but all-round development in life,” the Prime Minister said. He urged students not to dwell on past mistakes or disappointments but instead focus on future opportunities. PM Modi said learning from experiences and moving forward with confidence was key to personal growth.

This year’s Pariksha Pe Charcha featured interactive sessions with “Exam Warriors” across multiple locations, including Devmogra, Coimbatore, Raipur, Guwahati and the Prime Minister’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. Students, parents, and teachers participated actively, sharing concerns related to exams, pressure, and expectations.

Launched as an annual initiative to reduce exam stress, Pariksha Pe Charcha has become a platform for open dialogue between students and the Prime Minister. By sharing personal experiences and practical advice, PM Modi aims to help students approach examinations with confidence, clarity and a positive mindset.
