Nitin Nabin Leads BJP’s Gen Z Outreach And Cadre Mobilisation In Uttarakhand

BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Thursday engaged with young people at a ‘Yuva Samvad’ programme in Haldwani and interacted with party workers as the BJP steps up preparations for the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly elections. Nabin also met party workers during a tea session organised by a booth in-charge and later addressed an ex-servicemen gathering on Nainital Road. His schedule reflected the party's outreach to different sections ahead of the elections.

Addressing the youth gathering, Nabin highlighted Uttarakhand's emerging startup ecosystem and the role of young innovators and entrepreneurs in the state's development. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's government for creating opportunities for young people. Nabin linked the state's growth to the broader vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, positioning youth engagement as an important part of the BJP's political outreach.

Nabin also focused on strengthening engagement with the BJP's grassroots organisation. During the tea session at the residence of booth in-charge Rakesh Chandra Arya, he described party workers as the backbone of the organisation. At the ex-servicemen gathering, he highlighted the government's measures concerning defence personnel and referred to the proposed Rishikesh-Karanprayag railway project, which he described as beneficial for personnel travelling through difficult terrain to reach the border.

The BJP national president also outlined issues that the party is presenting as priorities for Uttarakhand, including road connectivity, welfare and respect for soldiers, implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, women's empowerment and welfare measures for poorer sections. The party is preparing for the 2027 Assembly elections with the stated objective of securing a hat-trick in the state. Nabin had addressed an Extended State Executive Committee Meeting in Haldwani on Wednesday as part of the organisational preparations.

As part of its wider outreach, Nabin is also scheduled to participate in a ‘Sikh Gaurav Sammelan’, or Sikh Pride Conference, aimed at engaging different sections of society ahead of the polls. His Uttarakhand visit combines interactions with young people, party workers, ex-servicemen and community groups as the BJP seeks to strengthen its organisation and electoral outreach.

During his address, Nabin also criticised Congress leaders over their position on ‘Vande Mataram’ and targeted senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He accused the Congress of pursuing what he described as appeasement politics and contrasted it with the BJP-led government's stated focus on welfare and equitable access to national resources. The remarks form part of the BJP's broader political messaging as it prepares for the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly election.
