Carrying sufficient drinking water, preferably in insulated bottles, and encouraging frequent water breaks can help prevent dehydration. Light, home-cooked meals and water-rich foods such as fruits can also support hydration and maintain energy levels during hot weather.
Appropriate clothing plays a key role in minimizing heat exposure. Children should wear loose-fitting, light-colored cotton clothes that allow the body to breathe. Schools and parents are also encouraged to ensure that children use caps or umbrellas while commuting, especially during peak afternoon hours when temperatures tend to be highest.
