Domino's Introduces New Garlic & Herb Dip-Inspired Ice Cream Creation For Customers

Domino's unveils ice cream inspired by dip.

Domino’s has introduced a surprising new dessert inspired by one of its most popular accompaniments — the Garlic & Herb Dip. The pizza chain has launched a limited-edition Garlic & Herb Dip-flavoured ice cream, blending its signature savoury sauce with locally sourced dairy ingredients in an unusual summer offering. The new ice cream was unveiled at the Brighton seafront in the UK, where members of the public were given an opportunity to sample the unusual flavour. The product combines traditional ice cream ingredients with Domino’s well-known garlic and herb sauce, creating a sweet-and-savoury combination aimed at fans of the brand’s iconic dip.

According to reports, the ice cream is made using locally sourced Devon dairy and includes Domino’s Garlic & Herb Dip, which is hand-stirred into the mixture. Customers can also choose to add an extra drizzle of the dip on top, further intensifying the distinctive flavour. A Domino’s spokesperson said the brand’s dip had developed a strong following among customers, who have experimented with different ways of enjoying it over the years. The company said the latest creation was an attempt to take the popularity of the dip “one scoop further” by transforming it into an unexpected dessert.

The launch reflects Domino’s continued experimentation with unusual food concepts designed to create public interest and generate conversations around the brand. While the company is best known for pizzas, it has previously introduced a range of unconventional products inspired by its flavours and customer trends. Past creative launches from Domino’s have included items such as a garlic-and-herb chocolate egg and a pepperoni-inspired perfume, both of which were designed as novelty products that attracted attention online.

The Garlic & Herb Dip ice cream is part of a broader trend among food brands experimenting with unusual flavour combinations. Companies are increasingly blending sweet and savoury profiles to appeal to adventurous consumers looking for unique dining experiences. Although garlic-flavoured desserts remain uncommon, the popularity of the Domino’s dip appears to have encouraged the brand to explore new formats. The company has positioned the ice cream as a limited-edition product, meaning availability may be restricted to specific locations or promotional periods.

The unusual dessert has sparked mixed reactions, with some customers curious about the combination while others remain sceptical about pairing a savoury garlic sauce with ice cream. However, the launch has already generated significant attention, helping Domino’s create buzz beyond its traditional pizza offerings. Whether the Garlic & Herb Dip ice cream becomes a long-term menu item or remains a one-time experiment, the launch demonstrates the brand’s willingness to push boundaries and turn familiar products into unexpected culinary experiences.
