Rajeev Khandelwal speaks about guilt after his mother’s cancer death and urges ovarian cancer awareness.

Actor Rajeev Khandelwal has spoken about the emotional toll of losing his mother to ovarian cancer, revealing that he continues to carry a deep sense of guilt over not recognizing her symptoms in time. The actor made these comments during an emotional conversation on the reality show Tum Ho Naa, which has not yet been telecast.

During the discussion, Rajeev reflected on the period leading up to his mother’s illness and admitted that he blames himself for not understanding the early warning signs. He said, “Main kaafi hadh tak khud ko gunehagaar samajhta hoon, kyunki mummy ko jo symptoms hue thein, tab mein samajh nahi paaya,” expressing regret over what he felt was a missed opportunity to identify the disease earlier.

The actor also used the platform to raise awareness about ovarian cancer, particularly among women, urging viewers to pay attention to symptoms that are often overlooked. He highlighted signs such as persistent back pain, loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, and digestive discomfort, stressing that these should not be ignored if they continue for a prolonged period.

His remarks underscored both his personal grief and his intent to use the platform to spread health awareness. For context, Rajeev’s mother passed away in 2018 after battling cancer for approximately one and a half years.
