Medha Manjrekar Reveals Cancer Diagnosis In Emotional Instagram Post

Marathi actor Medha Manjrekar, wife of filmmaker and actor Mahesh Manjrekar, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer, sharing details of her journey through an emotional social media post. The 58-year-old actor posted photographs from the hospital and reflected on her treatment as one phase of it came to an end. Rather than focusing on the illness itself, she chose to express gratitude to the people who supported her throughout the difficult period.

In her message, Medha wrote that her journey had changed her forever and said she looked back not at the diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy or radiation, but at the compassion and kindness she received. She said she never faced the challenge alone, adding that every time she felt unable to move forward, someone appeared to walk beside her. Medha described these moments as expressions of divine grace that strengthened her during treatment.

The actor also spoke about how the experience deepened her faith and transformed her outlook on life. She said she came to believe that God often works through people rather than appearing in a divine form, acknowledging the role of her spiritual mentors, doctors, nurses, family members, friends and even strangers who became a source of comfort. According to Medha, learning to surrender to life's challenges gave her the strength to stop questioning her circumstances and instead trust the process.

She recalled how loved ones visited her regularly, travelled long distances to spend time with her and even supported her through small but meaningful gestures, such as preparing meals she could eat or finding simple ways to lift her spirits during the recovery process.
