Dhurandhar Roars Past ₹150 Crore, Proves Ranveer Singh’s Box Office Might

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar crosses ₹150 crore with rare weekday strength and exceptional audience momentum.

Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar continued its dream run at the Indian box office by crossing the ₹150 crore mark in just five days of its release. According to early estimates by trade tracker Sacnilk, the Aditya Dhar-directed espionage thriller added ₹26.50 crore on Tuesday (Day 5), taking its domestic total to ₹152.75 crore net. The film, which opened on December 5, had already stormed into the ₹100 crore club within its extended opening weekend, signalling strong audience approval and exceptional word-of-mouth.

The film recorded one of the strongest opening weekends of 2025, collecting ₹103 crore in the first three days alone. It started with ₹28 crore on Friday, jumped to ₹32 crore on Saturday, and peaked at ₹43 crore on Sunday—the highest single-day figure so far. The crucial Monday test, often a litmus test for content-driven films, saw only a minor drop with ₹23.25 crore, while Tuesday witnessed an upward trend, underlining sustained audience interest across multiplexes and single-screen theatres alike.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh described the performance as “unstoppable and unshakeable,” pointing out that in several centres Monday collections surpassed the opening day—a rare phenomenon that usually occurs only when word-of-mouth is overwhelmingly positive. He noted that Dhurandhar is performing strongly across mass belts as well as premium national chains, with occupancy remaining robust even on weekdays.

Produced under the banner of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the role of a RAW agent and also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. Inspired by real events surrounding the 1999 Kandahar hijacking, the film has been positioned as the first instalment of a planned franchise, with the second part already scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. The swift entry into the ₹150 crore club places Dhurandhar among the fastest grossers of the post-pandemic era.
