Neena Gupta Posts Simple Maharashtrian Bhakri Recipe On Instagram For Fans

Neena Gupta shares Maharashtrian bhakri recipe in simple Instagram cooking video.

Veteran actress Neena Gupta recently took to Instagram to share a traditional Maharashtrian bhakri recipe, offering her followers a glimpse into her love for simple, home-cooked Indian meals. Known for frequently posting cooking videos, the actress once again highlighted her interest in regional and traditional cuisine through a step-by-step demonstration.

In the video shared on social media, Neena Gupta prepared bhakri using a mix of jowar, bajra, ragi, and rice flour. She began by kneading the dough with boiling water, carefully working it into a firm consistency before dividing it into small portions. She then flattened one portion by hand, gradually shaping it into a round disc using dry flour to prevent sticking.

The actress went on to cook the bhakri on a heated tawa, following traditional methods. She applied water on the surface while cooking and carefully flipped it to ensure even preparation. Using a spatula, she pressed the edges to help it cook uniformly, resulting in a golden-brown bhakri with crisp edges and a soft centre.

Once cooked, Neena Gupta finished the dish in a traditional style by placing it on a cloth, making a small hole in the centre, and adding desi ghee. She then spread ghee generously over the surface before serving. In her caption, she described bhakri-making as an art and mentioned that she is still in the process of learning the technique.

This is not the first time the actress has shared her culinary experiments online. Previously, she posted a recipe for handvo cheela prepared for her granddaughter, combining soaked rice, lentils, and vegetables to create a nutritious batter. Her social media presence continues to reflect her appreciation for regional Indian cooking and everyday homemade food traditions.
