“Glow From Within”: 5 Pre-Wedding Drinks Brides Can Try for Clear, Radiant Skin

Five nutrient-packed “glow shots” for brides-to-be for radiant skin.

Every bride dreams of walking down the aisle with a radiant glow that needs little to no makeup. But in the rush of fittings, functions, and final preparations, stress often shows up first on the skin. Beauty expert and nutritionist Shweta Shah believes the secret to glowing skin is not only in the serums on your shelf but also in what you sip. Her list of five “glow shots” offers a blend of plant-based nutrients, hydration, and antioxidant support — all designed to nourish the skin from within.

1. Amla Glow Shot – Brightening and Collagen Boost

Amla, rich in Vitamin C, acts as a natural collagen booster and helps strengthen the skin’s structure. It combats dullness, dark spots, and uneven tone while keeping your immune system strong.
To make it, blend 30 ml of fresh amla juice with half a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of saffron. You can add a bit of ghee for smooth consistency. Drink it on an empty stomach each morning for visible brightness.

2. Beetroot-Carrot Booster – Detox and Circulation

Long workdays and hectic schedules can leave your skin fatigued. This beetroot and carrot mix energises tired skin by improving blood flow and detoxifying the body. The beta carotene in carrots gives skin a healthy, peachy tint while beetroot supports the liver’s cleansing process.
Juice half a beetroot and one carrot, add a hint of ginger and a teaspoon of lemon juice, then enjoy this fresh, mid-morning booster.

3. Saffron-Rose Elixir – Hydration and Calm

As the wedding approaches, many brides experience skin redness and stress-triggered sensitivity. This soothing combination of saffron and rose water helps calm irritation and add natural dewiness.
Soak a few saffron strands overnight, then mix with rose water and warm water or almond milk. Drink before bedtime to help your skin recover overnight and wake up hydrated and soft.

4. Lemon-Turmeric Tonic – Acne and Brightness

For brides battling stress-related acne, this golden tonic works wonders. Lemon’s Vitamin C helps with brightening, while turmeric’s anti-inflammatory curcumin calms breakouts.
Mix warm water with a squeeze of lemon, a pinch of turmeric, and half a teaspoon of honey. Add a dash of black pepper to enhance nutrient absorption. Sip this mixture every morning on an empty stomach.

5. Aloe-Mint Digestive Shot – Clear Skin and Gut Balance

Shweta Shah insists that gut health plays the biggest role in achieving clear skin. This simple drink aids digestion, reduces bloating, and supports detoxification. Aloe vera, when mixed with mint, helps cool the body while improving nutrient absorption.
Combine aloe vera juice with crushed mint leaves, a pinch of black salt, and warm water. Consume it after lunch daily for calmer digestion and clearer skin.

Beyond The Shots

According to Shah, these drinks work best when paired with good habits — seven to eight hours of sleep, daily movement, adequate protein, and consistent hydration. Brides should start this routine at least 21 days before the wedding, drinking one or two shots daily. However, moderation is key — overdoing these drinks can irritate the gut or cause imbalances.

A true bridal glow doesn’t come from quick fixes or heavy makeup. It’s the result of a steady internal balance that reflects calm and health. As Shweta Shah says, “Glow is not a trend; it’s nourishment made visible.”
