Celebrity chef and MasterChef India judge Ranveer Brar has shared a quick and easy recipe for the popular Bombay masala sandwich, a staple of Mumbai’s street food culture known for its bold flavours, spiced potato filling, and layered vegetable crunch. Brar described the dish as an ideal snack for those seeking something filling yet simple to prepare at home, with the entire process taking roughly 25 minutes.

Sandwiches, Brar noted, remain one of the most versatile snack options, balancing convenience with taste. The Bombay masala sandwich, in particular, stands out for its strong desi flavour profile and widespread popularity across India, often found at street stalls near schools, railway stations, and busy marketplaces. At the heart of the recipe is the classic potato masala filling.
