'AGS 28' on Netflix: Where to Stream Arjun’s Family Actioner

Tamil entertainer AGS 28 to stream on Netflix post-theatrical release.

AGS Entertainment’s 28th production, tentatively titled AGS 28, has generated buzz with its first-look poster unveiled in January 2026. Starring veteran “Action King” Arjun Sarja, Abhirami, and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles, the film promises a wholesome family entertainer packed with drama and action. Directed by debutant Subash K. Raj, who previously assisted Pradeep Ranganathan, the project began filming in August 2025 after a traditional pooja ceremony in Chennai. Netflix, which has acquired the digital rights, will stream the movie following its theatrical run in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The poster, released by Netflix, teases an intriguing plot: “A family trained to protect the powerless becomes the most dangerous obstacle of all.” This suggests a narrative centered on a protective family facing intense challenges, blending high-stakes action with emotional family bonds. Arjun Sarja headlines as the central figure, reuniting with Abhirami after more than two decades, while Preity Mukhundhan plays a key role, reportedly as their daughter in the story. The ensemble cast includes Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan, Dileepan, Vinod Sagar, and Bala Hasan R in supporting parts.

Adding to the excitement, composer Ravi Basrur—famous for his powerful scores in KGF and Salaar—makes his Tamil debut with the film’s music. The technical team features cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, and art direction by Veeramani Ganesan. Produced by AGS Entertainment’s Kalpathi brothers—Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh—with Archana Kalpathi and Aishwarya Kalpathi as creative producer and associate creative producer, the film aligns with the banner’s recent successes like GOAT, Love Today, and Dragon.

As part of Netflix’s “Pandigai 2026” lineup, AGS 28 joins a slate of 12 Tamil films set to premiere on the platform after theatrical releases. While an exact OTT release date has not been announced, it will follow the standard post-theatrical window, allowing fans to watch from home once cinemas complete their run. The announcement highlights Netflix’s commitment to diverse South Indian storytelling, making the film accessible globally.

With its star power, fresh direction, and high-energy music, AGS 28 is shaping up as a major family-oriented entertainer for 2026. Audiences can look forward to a mix of action, drama, and heartfelt moments when it arrives on Netflix, building anticipation among fans of Arjun Sarja and Tamil cinema alike.
