Vijay Deverakonda Reveals Dhurandhar Songs Are Popular In South Indian Gyms
Vijay Deverakonda discusses Dhurandhar songs’ popularity across South India.
Actor Vijay Deverakonda has revealed that songs from the film Dhurandhar are being played frequently at gyms across South India. During a recent conversation with podcaster Shubhankar Mishra, Vijay and his wife, actor Rashmika Mandanna, were asked about Hindi songs that are popular in the southern part of the country. Vijay said he could not recall the exact tracks but noted the strong presence of Dhurandhar music in gyms.
Vijay was asked to identify some of the songs and requested Mishra to hum them before responding. He also spoke about his own musical preferences, saying that he listens to a considerable amount of independent music. His comments came during a wider conversation involving the couple, who are set to share the screen again in their upcoming Telugu period drama Ranabaali.
Ranabaali is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 16 and is set against the backdrop of British rule between 1854 and 1878. The film presents a fictional story inspired by lesser-known chapters from the Rayalaseema region and centres on the warrior Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali. Vijay plays the titular character, while Rashmika portrays Jayamma.

The film marks Vijay and Rashmika’s third collaboration as an on-screen pair and their first project together following their marriage. The actors previously appeared together in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Their latest collaboration has therefore attracted attention as they return to the screen together in a period drama.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali also features Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo in the cast. Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film, with T-Series presenting the project, while Ajay-Atul has composed the music. The production team completed the shoot in September, with the film now heading towards its scheduled theatrical release.
