Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna Award Scholarships To 180 Telangana Students

Actor Vijay Deverakonda, along with actor Rashmika Mandanna, awarded scholarships to 180 students during a visit to Thummanpet village in Telangana on Sunday. The initiative, carried out under The Deverakonda Foundation, aims to support education for meritorious students from the region and encourage academic growth among children in rural areas.

The event saw Vijay interacting with students and their families, as he visited the village where his father was born. He described the initiative as a personal effort to give back to the community that has supported his journey in the film industry. According to him, the scholarship programme was launched earlier in the year with the objective of identifying and rewarding hardworking students from the 9th and 10th grades in Achampet Mandal.

Ahead of the event, Vijay shared the list of selected students on social media platform X, expressing his happiness about the progress of the initiative. He noted that 180 students had been chosen for the scholarship support, calling it a moment of pride for both the students and their families. He added that the programme represents an effort to strengthen educational opportunities at the grassroots level.

Rashmika also addressed the gathering during the event and congratulated the selected students.
