Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar Set to Light Up Filmfare 2025 in Ahmedabad

The 70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025, in association with Gujarat Tourism, are all set to take place on October 11 at the EKA Arena, Kankaria Lake, Ahmedabad. Adding to the grandeur, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will co-host the ceremony alongside his longtime friend Karan Johar and popular entertainer Maniesh Paul.

Filmfare officially announced the news via Instagram, describing Shah Rukh Khan as “The Superstar, The Icon, The Enigma,” heightening the excitement for one of the most awaited entertainment nights of the year.

The prestigious awards ceremony will be hosted in Gujarat for the very first time following an MoU signed in August between the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL) and Worldwide Media Private Limited, witnessed by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The agreement, part of Gujarat’s Cinematic Tourism Policy 2022, marks a historic moment in positioning the state as a growing hub for the Indian film industry.

During the announcement event, CM Bhupendra Patel also unveiled the prestigious Black Lady trophy, underscoring Gujarat’s commitment to promoting cinematic excellence. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has become a preferred destination for investments across sectors, including films and entertainment.

Highlighting the intersection of culture and economy, Patel noted that hosting Filmfare will not only showcase Gujarat as a cultural powerhouse but also fuel local economic activity, employment opportunities, and sales of indigenous products in line with the Prime Minister’s ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative.

With Bollywood’s brightest stars expected to grace the red carpet, the Filmfare Awards 2025 in Ahmedabad promises glitz, glamour, and a celebration of cinema like never before.
