Rashmika Mandanna Shares Health Update Following Freak Accident On 'Mysaa' Set

Actor Rashmika Mandanna has shared an update on her health after sustaining an injury while shooting for her upcoming film Mysaa, revealing that she is recovering after a tendon in her right hip became detached during the filming of a dance sequence. The actor addressed fans through a post on Instagram, assuring them that she is doing well despite the setback.
In her post, Rashmika said she had initially hoped to keep the injury private but decided to speak about it after news of the incident surfaced. She revealed that the injury was her third consecutive one and reflected on the importance of taking better care of her health. The actor explained that one of the four tendons connecting her right hip to her leg had detached and would require time to heal before she could regain full mobility.
Describing the incident as a "freak accident", Rashmika said the injury occurred during the filming of an intense dance sequence for Mysaa. She added that although the injury is painful, it is manageable and not unbearable. The actor also viewed the recovery period positively, saying it was perhaps an opportunity to take a much-needed break from her hectic schedule.

Rashmika said she has been spending her recovery period solving puzzles and keeping herself occupied while staying away from her usual workout routine. She admitted that not being able to exercise has been one of the biggest challenges, as fitness has always been an important part of her daily life. Despite the temporary pause, she maintained a light-hearted approach and assured fans that she was coping well.
Thanking her fans for their concern and support, Rashmika promised to keep them updated on her recovery. She also expressed gratitude for the love she has received, asking her followers not to worry about her health as she focuses on healing before returning to work.
Mysaa, directed by Rawindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, is described as an emotional action thriller set in tribal lands. The project marks Rashmika's first female-led pan-India action film and is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026.
