Producer Naga Vamsi Confirms Indefinite Delay for Venkatesh Starrer 'AK 47'
Team wants more time before announcing a fresh release date.
Veteran Telugu actor Venkatesh and filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas’ much-anticipated collaboration Adarsha Kutumbam House No: 47, also known as AK 47, has been postponed indefinitely by the makers. The film was scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 9, but producer Naga Vamsi has now confirmed that the planned release will not go ahead. Instead, the team has decided to delay the film until further notice, with a fresh release date expected to be announced at a later stage.
The decision to postpone the film comes as the makers want additional time to address technical quality concerns before releasing it to audiences. Naga Vamsi said the team believes it is important to spend more time on the technical aspects of the project rather than rush the film to meet the October 9 deadline. The decision effectively puts the film’s immediate theatrical plans on hold while the team works towards completing the project to the desired quality.
The producer also said that the new release date will be finalised after Venkatesh returns. This means the makers have chosen not to announce another immediate date while the technical work remains in progress. With the October 9 schedule cancelled, the team now has the flexibility to complete the remaining work and subsequently decide on a release window that suits the film and its production requirements.

Adarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 is a notable collaboration between Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas, bringing the veteran Telugu actor together with the filmmaker for the project. The film has been among the Telugu releases attracting attention ahead of its proposed theatrical debut, particularly because of the combination of Venkatesh’s established screen presence and Trivikram’s direction. The latest postponement therefore changes the immediate release plans for a project that was expected to reach cinemas this week.
The latest delay also means audiences will have to wait longer for an official update on when AK 47 will eventually reach theatres. Rather than fixing another date while the technical work is still being addressed, the makers have opted for an indefinite postponement. The approach allows the team to focus on the concerns identified during the production and finalisation process without being tied to another near-term release deadline.
For now, Adarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 does not have a confirmed theatrical release date. Naga Vamsi has indicated that the makers will work on the technical aspects of the film and take a call on the new release schedule after Venkatesh returns. The team is expected to announce the revised date once the remaining work is completed and the film is ready for release.
