Prabhas Dual Role and Joker Look in The Raja Saab Trailer 2.0

The Raja Saab Trailer 2.0 shows Prabhas in Joker-inspired look battling Sanjay Dutt in horror-comedy.

The excitement for Prabhas’ upcoming film The Raja Saab has reached new heights with the release of Trailer 2.0, promising a bigger, darker, and funnier cinematic experience. Directed by Maruthi, the romantic horror-comedy is slated for release on January 9, 2026, during the Sankranthi festival. The trailer, running for 3 minutes and 11 seconds, offers a glimpse into the film’s story, characters, and high-octane scale.

The trailer introduces Prabhas as a cheerful, carefree man affectionately called "Raja Saab" by his grandmother, played by Zarina Wahab. The narrative quickly takes a dark turn when the grandmother recalls a fearful name from her past—Sanjay Dutt’s character, who transforms into a hypnotic, menacing force after the death of Raja Saab’s grandfather. Prabhas embarks on a mission to unravel the truth and liberate the family mansion from its haunting legacy.

The film’s horror-comedy blend comes alive as Prabhas and his friends find themselves trapped inside the mansion, where moving doors and lurking shadows heighten tension while comic elements provide balance. Director Maruthi has highlighted that this interplay of horror and humor ensures an entertaining experience rather than a frightening one.

A major highlight is Prabhas’ dual role. He alternates between a youthful, playful persona and an older, enigmatic avatar. In one scene, he appears with clown-like makeup reminiscent of DC’s Joker, while other moments showcase his hypnotic intensity, leaving fans awestruck. Sanjay Dutt delivers a commanding performance as the villain, adding a chilling layer to the narrative.

Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, The Raja Saab boasts grand-scale production values. Director Maruthi has confidently promised a unique cinematic experience, even offering refunds if audiences feel disappointed. Online reactions to Trailer 2.0 have been overwhelmingly positive, with predictions of a massive box office run exceeding ₹1000 crore.

With its combination of horror, comedy, romance, action, and mystery, The Raja Saab is shaping up to be Sankranthi 2026’s biggest cinematic celebration, showcasing Prabhas in a never-before-seen avatar and Sanjay Dutt at his most menacing.
