Nani Confirms No Trailer For 'The Paradise', Reveals Reason Behind Decision

Nani explains why The Paradise will release without a trailer.

Nani and director Srikanth Odela’s upcoming film The Paradise will not receive a theatrical trailer ahead of its scheduled release on September 24. The announcement was made during a press interaction on Friday, with Nani explaining that the decision was taken because the team is focused on completing the film’s post-production work and delivering a high-quality final product.

The film marks the second collaboration between Nani and Odela after their successful 2023 film Dasara. Although the project has generated considerable anticipation, its release was delayed several times, having initially been planned for March and later August. Nani said the team had considered releasing a trailer but felt that doing so properly would require diverting attention and resources away from the ongoing post-production process.

“The Paradise will not have a trailer,” Nani said, adding that the film already has substantial audience interest but that the makers were not taking that support for granted. He explained that a trailer would have to be impressive enough to meet expectations and that the team ultimately decided to concentrate on finishing the film rather than rush promotional material.

Nani also spoke candidly about Odela’s time-management challenges during the production. He revealed that the director had apologised to him and acknowledged that he had struggled to manage time effectively while making the film. According to Nani, Odela himself recognised the issue and expressed a desire to improve in that area.

The actor further said that Odela wanted to work as an assistant director under filmmaker SS Rajamouli after completing The Paradise. Nani welcomed the idea, saying that creative professionals must identify their weaknesses and learn from people who are more experienced in those areas. He described Odela’s willingness to acknowledge his shortcomings and seek further learning as a positive quality.

The Paradise is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner and features Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal and Mohan Babu in important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. The film’s release is now fixed for September 24, although the makers have yet to finalise whether ticket prices will be increased for its premieres.
