Dulquer Salmaan has revealed that his upcoming Malayalam film I’m Game contains a major fantasy element that has intentionally been kept away from the trailer. The actor said the filmmakers wanted to protect the film’s central surprise and allow audiences to experience the story without knowing its key twists in advance. The revelation has added another layer of curiosity around the film, which is scheduled to reach theatres on September 3. While the trailer has offered glimpses of the protagonist, his unusual abilities and the problems he encounters, it apparently does not reveal the actual core idea behind the narrative.

During an interaction with students at a college in Hyderabad, Dulquer discussed why the trailer provides only limited information about the film. He explained that the makers deliberately avoided revealing the surprise concept involving fantasy elements because they wanted viewers to discover it inside the theatre. The actor’s comments suggest that the story could take a significant turn from the premise presented in the promotional material. Rather than giving away the nature of the fantasy element, Dulquer has encouraged audiences to watch the film to understand how it connects with the characters and the larger storyline.

Before the trailer was released, reports surrounding I’m Game had generated considerable interest because of an unusual plot detail involving a hand transplant. According to earlier reports, the protagonist receives a hand that belonged to a man who had died, with the transplanted hand reportedly carrying a connection to its previous owner's desire for revenge. However, the trailer appears to focus more heavily on the protagonist's personality, his fascination with risk and his unusual approach to making money. The difference between the reported premise and what has been shown publicly has left audiences wondering how the various elements will eventually come together.
