On the sixth death anniversary of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, heartfelt tributes poured in from his family and members of the film industry, remembering the late star’s enduring legacy in Hindi cinema. Rishi, one of Bollywood’s most celebrated actors, passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67 after a prolonged battle with leukaemia.

His wife, actor Neetu Kapoor, shared an emotional tribute on social media, posting a candid photograph of the couple smiling together. In her Instagram Stories, she wrote a simple yet poignant message: “Always in our hearts,” reflecting the continuing emotional presence of her late husband in the family’s life. The post resonated widely with fans who continue to remember the actor’s charm and long-standing contribution to Indian cinema.

Their daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, also marked the day with a deeply personal message. Sharing a portrait of her father, she wrote, “Until we meet again. I’ll keep celebrating you, loving you and missing you, always,” highlighting the lasting bond she continues to feel with him even years after his passing.

Rishi, often fondly called “Chintu ji” in the film industry, was known for his versatility and memorable performances across decades. From romantic classics like Bobby and Chandni to later acclaimed films such as Kapoor & Sons, he built a legacy that spanned generations of audiences. His passing in 2020 marked the end of an era in Hindi cinema, prompting an outpouring of grief from colleagues, fans, and admirers worldwide.

The remembrance extended beyond the Kapoor family, with film distributor Raj Bansal also sharing a tribute featuring a candid photograph of Rishi alongside Sanjay Dutt and Neetu Kapoor. He captioned it, “Missing my dearest buddy,” reflecting the close personal relationships Rishi maintained within the industry. Over the years, Rishi’s collaborations with actors like Sanjay Dutt in films such as Hathyar and Agneepath have remained part of his enduring cinematic footprint.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, married in 1980, were regarded as one of Bollywood’s most iconic couples, having shared screen space in several successful films including Amar Akbar Anthony, Khel Khel Mein, Rafoo Chakkar, and Kabhi Kabhie. His final film, Sharmaji Namkeen, was completed posthumously with actor Paresh Rawal stepping in to finish his remaining portions, ensuring that his final performance reached audiences even after his passing.
