Dhurandhar Box Office Storm: Ranveer Singh’s Spy Thriller Nears Rs 850 Crore Mark in India

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar remains unstoppable at the box office more than a month after its release. The Aditya Dhar–directed spy action thriller earned Rs 3.6 crore on its 36th day in theatres. With this, the film’s total domestic collection has climbed to Rs 844.45 crore. The sustained performance underlines the film’s strong word-of-mouth and mass appeal.
According to figures shared by the makers, the film collected Rs 784.5 crore during its first five weeks. It added another Rs 56.35 crore in the fifth week alone, highlighting its remarkable staying power. The production house celebrated the achievement on social media, calling the film’s run a “March of Wrath” at the box office. Audiences continue to flock to cinemas despite its long theatrical run.
Released on December 5, Dhurandhar draws loose inspiration from several real-life geopolitical and terror-related events. These include the IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and incidents linked to Operation Lyari. The film blends fiction with contemporary history, giving it a gripping and intense narrative. Its realistic tone has resonated strongly with viewers.

Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled for release on March 19, with expectations riding high after the first film’s blockbuster success.
