Zakir Khan Takes Health Break, Will Tour India with Limited ‘Papa Yaar’ Shows
Comedian limits ‘Papa Yaar’ tour to Oct 24–Jan 11, skipping Indore.
Popular stand-up comedian Zakir Khan announced on Saturday that he's stepping back from extensive stage shows to focus on his health, revealing he's been unwell for a year amid a gruelling tour schedule.
In an Instagram story titled "The Health Update", the 38-year-old shared the toll of a decade-long touring life: "2-3 shows a day, sleepless nights, early morning flights, and no timetable for meals." Despite the love from fans, he admitted ignoring his condition to keep working but now prioritises recovery. "I absolutely love being on stage, but I’ll have to take a break now... before it’s too late," Khan wrote.
He plans a limited India tour titled "Papa Yaar", running from October 24 to January 11, covering select cities including Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Bhopal, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Mangalore. No additional dates will be added, and fans in Indore are advised to attend the Bhopal show instead. Following the tour and a special recording, Khan has been advised to embark on a prolonged break.
