Sunil Pal Criticizes India's Got Latent; Suggests Format Overhaul Similar to Kapil Show
Sunil Pal criticizes Samay Raina's India's Got Latent Season 2, questioning the show's family-friendly standards.
The ongoing public feud between comedians Sunil Pal and Samay Raina has intensified once again, with Sunil Pal taking a fresh swipe at the upcoming second season of India's Got Latent. During a recent media interaction, Sunil mocked the show while responding to a question about whether he would appear as a guest on the new season hosted by Samay Raina.
Reacting sarcastically, Sunil Pal said he would not join the show because it was “too big” for someone like him and jokingly referred to himself as a “small artist.” However, he quickly followed up with stronger criticism aimed at the format and content of the show. He also suggested that Samay Raina should adopt a judging format similar to The Great Indian Kapil Show, where personalities like Archana Puran Singh serve as recurring panel members.
In one of his sharpest remarks, Sunil questioned whether the content of India’s Got Latent could comfortably be watched with family members. Referring indirectly to the controversial nature of some jokes and segments, he remarked that the makers should first present the show in front of their own parents. His comments appeared to target what he views as excessive or inappropriate humor being used for online popularity and shock value.
