Srinidhi Shetty Responds To Reports Of Rs 7–8 Crore Remuneration

The actor responds to reports about her alleged remuneration for a project.

Actor Srinidhi Shetty has dismissed reports claiming that she charges Rs 7 crore to Rs 8 crore per film, calling the figures rumours. The actor, who rose to prominence after playing the female lead opposite Yash in the KGF film series, addressed the speculation during an interview with NTV Telugu. She questioned why she would demand such a high remuneration despite having appeared in only a limited number of films. Her response has brought attention to her approach to selecting projects and the importance she places on the quality of roles.

Speaking about the reported fee, Srinidhi said the figures circulating about her remuneration were inaccurate. She pointed out that her filmography remains relatively small compared with the number of projects she could have taken up since the success of KGF. The actor explained that if financial gain had been her primary motivation, she could have acted in many more films over the past few years. Instead, she prefers to be selective about the projects she accepts.

Srinidhi also emphasised that compelling stories and well-written characters play a major role in her decisions. Rather than signing films solely for monetary reasons, she wants to work on projects that offer meaningful opportunities as a performer. Her comments underline her preference for roles that allow her to explore different aspects of acting instead of focusing only on the commercial value of a project.

The actor has also expressed interest in experimenting with different genres and characters rather than restricting herself to one type of role. However, she maintains that personal comfort is an important consideration when choosing a film. Srinidhi explained that she would not agree to a role or song if it made her uncomfortable, as she believes such reservations could affect her ability to deliver a convincing performance.

She further explained that she communicates her boundaries clearly to filmmakers before committing to a project. Once she has explained what she is comfortable doing, the final decision rests with the makers. According to her, every actor has an individual approach to choosing films, and the decisions that suit one performer may not necessarily work for another. Her remarks highlight the importance she places on creative confidence and mutual understanding with filmmakers.

Srinidhi was last seen in Nani's HIT: The Third Case in 2025. She is next expected to appear in Aadarsha Kutumbam House No 47 - AK 47, alongside Venkatesh, Nivetha Pethuraj and Nara Rohit. While speculation about her remuneration continues to circulate, the actor's recent comments make clear that she wants her career choices to be guided by strong scripts and suitable characters rather than money alone.
