Madhuri Dixit To Host Marathi Quiz Show 'Kon Honar Crorepati' First Promo Out
Madhuri returns to hosting with the Marathi adaptation of KBC.
Madhuri Dixit is set to return to television as a host after 24 years with the upcoming Marathi quiz show Kon Honar Crorepati. The makers released the first promo of the show on Tuesday, featuring the actor in a traditional Maharashtrian look. The programme is the Marathi adaptation of the popular quiz format Kaun Banega Crorepati, which has been hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
In the promo, Madhuri appears in a green-and-gold saree paired with traditional jewellery and a Maharashtrian-style nose ring. She introduces the show in Marathi and announces that a new chapter is about to begin, inviting viewers to join Kon Honar Crorepati. The promo marks the first glimpse of Madhuri in her new television role and sets the tone for the upcoming quiz-based programme.
Although Madhuri has made several appearances on television as a judge on dance reality shows, Kon Honar Crorepati marks her return to hosting after more than two decades. She also shared the promo on Instagram, describing the programme as a new chapter and expressing excitement about bringing viewers a show centred on knowledge, dreams and possibilities.

Kon Honar Crorepati first premiered in 2013 and has previously featured personalities such as Sachin Khedekar, Swapnil Joshi and Nagraj Manjule as hosts. The programme follows a quiz-show format in which contestants answer questions while sharing their personal journeys and aspirations. Madhuri will now take over the host's chair, bringing her experience as an actor and television personality to the Marathi adaptation.
The show is expected to combine the competitive nature of a quiz programme with stories from contestants and their pursuit of personal goals. Kon Honar Crorepati will air on Sony Marathi and will also be available for streaming on Sony LIV. However, the makers have not yet announced the show's premiere date.
