Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collections Drop As New Films Increase Competition
Dhurandhar 2 box office slows in fifth week, earning ₹1.19 crore on Day 34 amid new competition.
Ranveer Singh-led action drama “Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge” continues its theatrical run in its fifth week, but the film’s box office momentum has slowed significantly as newer releases enter cinemas and audience footfall declines. On Day 34, the film collected around ₹1.19 crore, reflecting a continued downward trend in daily earnings.
According to trade reports, the film’s India net collection now stands at approximately ₹1,118.48 crore, while its worldwide gross has reportedly reached ₹1,338.87 crore. Despite the slowdown, the film remains one of the highest-grossing releases of the year, maintaining its strong cumulative total built during its initial weeks. Occupancy levels on Day 34 were relatively low, averaging around 8.31% across shows. Morning screenings opened at similar levels, while afternoon shows saw a slight rise. However, overall audience turnout remained subdued, indicating waning interest as the film progresses deeper into its theatrical run.
Performance varied across major cities. NCR led with about 23% occupancy, followed by Pune at 19% and Mumbai at 18.5%. Bengaluru and Hyderabad recorded lower figures in the 8–9% range. Some regions like Jaipur and Kolkata showed better afternoon performance, while Chennai saw limited screenings but comparatively improved occupancy later in the day.

The film had opened strongly, earning ₹43 crore from previews and ₹102.55 crore on its first day. It peaked early in its run and crossed ₹674 crore in its first week. However, collections gradually declined over subsequent weeks, with Week 2 bringing ₹263.65 crore, Week 3 earning ₹110.60 crore, and Week 4 contributing ₹54.70 crore.
In Week 5, the downward trend has continued despite occasional small spikes in daily earnings. Industry trackers note that competition from new releases, including Akshay Kumar’s “Bhooth Bangla”, has contributed to the slowdown. The horror-comedy has reportedly crossed ₹100 crore worldwide and is drawing audience attention away from older releases. Directed by Aditya Dhar, “Dhurandhar 2” features an ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt. The film follows the journey of an undercover agent involved in high-stakes operations linked to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, blending action and espionage themes.
