Amitabh Bachchan Reveals Long Work Shifts Are Affecting His Food And Sleep

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, 83, has revealed that an intense work schedule has left him with little time for regular sleep, meals and social media interactions. In a recent post, the actor apologised to fans for missing his usual blog updates and explained that his work commitments had stretched across extended shifts in recent days.
Amitabh Bachchan shared that his working hours had sometimes extended from 7 am to almost 7 am the following day. He acknowledged that the demanding schedule had affected his time for sleep and food, but maintained that professional commitments had to take priority. The actor also indicated that he was taking a brief break as the 18th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) began.
The veteran star assured fans that he intended to return to his regular online interactions after reorganising his routine. Amitabh Bachchan has frequently used his blog to share personal reflections and updates with his followers, making his latest apology notable for its candid account of his recent workload.

This is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has discussed his strong attachment to work. Earlier this year, he reflected on how having a day without work can disrupt his routine and leave him uncomfortable. He has previously described maintaining a structured schedule as an important part of his daily life, even after decades in the film industry.
Amitabh Bachchan has now returned as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18, which premiered on Monday, August 10, on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV. The new season follows the theme ‘Sochna Padega’ and is scheduled to air on weekdays. The show marks another chapter in Amitabh’s long association with the popular television quiz programme.
On the film front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. His portrayal of Ashwatthama received widespread attention, while the science-fiction film crossed Rs 1,000 crore in worldwide box-office collections. Amitabh Bachchan is currently working on its sequel.
