Venkat K Narayana Calls Jason Sanjay a "Great Value Addition"
Jana Nayagan producer reacts to Jason Sanjay's directorial debut, Sigma.
With Vijay's much-awaited final film Jana Nayagan set for a theatrical release on July 23, attention has also shifted to the next generation of the actor's family as his son Jason Sanjay prepares to make his directorial debut. Jason's first film, Sigma, has been postponed to August after it was initially scheduled to release on July 31, a move aimed at avoiding a box-office clash with Jana Nayagan.
During an interaction with NDTV's Shiv Aroor, KVN Productions producer Venkat K. Narayana was asked about Jason Sanjay entering the film industry and carrying forward the family's cinematic legacy. Responding to the question, Narayana extended his best wishes to the debutant filmmaker and expressed optimism about his future in the industry.
"I know for a fact that he is directing the film and that it is getting released. I wish him all the very best for the film's release," Narayana said. He added that he had heard positive feedback about Jason's abilities, describing him as "extraordinarily talented" and "fully focused." However, he clarified that he had not personally interacted with Jason and that his assessment was based on what he had been told by others.

Narayana further said he believes Jason Sanjay will be a valuable addition to the Indian film industry and hoped that his debut project would be well received by audiences. "He is a great value addition to the industry, and I wish him all the very best. I pray for the film's success," he said, while refraining from making any personal assessment due to the lack of direct interaction with the young filmmaker.
Jason Sanjay's directorial debut has generated considerable interest among cinema enthusiasts, largely because he is the son of one of Tamil cinema's biggest stars. Expectations surrounding Sigma have continued to grow since the project was announced, with the postponement seen as a strategic decision to allow both films to receive independent attention at the box office.
Meanwhile, anticipation remains high for Jana Nayagan, which is being promoted as Vijay's final film before his full-time entry into politics. The film's release marks a significant milestone in the actor's career, while Jason Sanjay's upcoming debut signals the beginning of a new chapter for the family in the Tamil film industry.
