Narayanan Calls Arivu ‘Delusional’ In Popular song 'Enjoy Enjaami' Credit Row
Enjoy Enjaami dispute escalates as Santhosh Narayanan rebuts Arivu allegations.
Music composer Santhosh Narayanan has strongly responded to rapper Arivu after the latter alleged that Narayanan and singer Dhee had “stolen” credit for the popular independent song Enjoy Enjaami. The dispute resurfaced on social media, with Narayanan dismissing Arivu’s accusations and describing the claims as “delusional.”
The controversy centres on the 2021 Tamil indie track, which became a global viral hit and amassed hundreds of millions of views online. Arivu, who wrote and performed the rap portions of the song, had previously suggested that he composed and created the track largely on his own and did not receive adequate recognition for his contribution. His remarks triggered renewed debate among fans about authorship and credit for the song.
Responding to the allegations, Narayanan rejected the suggestion that Arivu’s work had been appropriated. The composer insisted that Enjoy Enjaami was always intended as a collaborative project involving multiple artists, including himself, Arivu and Dhee. He said the narrative portraying the song as the sole creation of one individual was inaccurate and misrepresented the creative process behind the track.

The dispute is not new. Tensions between the artists first surfaced in 2022 after Arivu appeared to suggest he had been sidelined in promotional events and media coverage related to the song. At the time, Dhee publicly stated that she had never attempted to diminish the role of either Narayanan or Arivu and described the track as a shared effort among the three artists.
Despite the disagreement, Enjoy Enjaami remains one of the most influential independent Tamil songs of recent years, blending folk themes with contemporary production and reaching a global audience through streaming platforms. The track’s success also highlighted the growing influence of India’s indie music scene beyond film soundtracks.
The latest exchange between Narayanan and Arivu has reignited debate among fans and industry observers about artistic ownership, recognition and collaboration in independent music. While both artists have contributed significantly to the song’s popularity, the dispute underscores the challenges that can arise when creative credit becomes a matter of public contention.
