'Mandaadi' Box Office Day 6: Soori Starrer Crosses ₹50 Crore Despite 60.9% Drop

Soori-starrer Mandaadi crossed the ₹50 crore mark in India despite recording a sharp decline in collections on its sixth day at the box office. The Tamil-language sports action drama earned ₹4.40 crore net in India on Tuesday, marking a 60.9% drop from the previous day, according to Sacnilk figures. The film’s total India net collection has now reached ₹50.25 crore.
Mandaadi’s India gross collection stood at ₹58.78 crore after six days, while its overseas markets contributed an additional ₹10.65 crore in gross earnings. With this, the film’s worldwide gross collection has reached ₹69.43 crore. The Tamil version contributed ₹3.40 crore to Tuesday’s India net earnings, while the Telugu version added ₹1 crore to the day’s total.
The film recorded a gross collection of ₹5.15 crore across India on Day 6. Tamil Nadu remained the biggest contributor with ₹3.50 crore, followed by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana at ₹1.10 crore. Karnataka contributed ₹30 lakh, while Kerala added ₹17 lakh. The remaining regions together accounted for ₹8 lakh in gross collections on Tuesday.

Mandaadi had a steady opening before witnessing a strong rise over the weekend. The film earned ₹4.85 crore on its first day, followed by ₹6.70 crore on Day 2. Collections increased to ₹10 crore on Day 3 and ₹13.05 crore on Day 4, before the film registered ₹11.25 crore on Day 5. The sharp fall on Day 6 came after the strong weekend and early-week performance.
Released on September 10, Mandaadi is written and directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi. The film has a runtime of two hours and 34 minutes and carries a UA certificate. It features Soori in the lead role alongside Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Sankar, Suhas, Ravindra Vijay, Mahima Nambiar and Kritika Balasubramanian.
The story centres on the rivalry between teams led by Kaali and Saattaappuli as they compete in a traditional sailboat race in South India. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer S. R. Kathiir, composer GV Prakash Kumar and editor Pradeep E. Ragav. Despite the Day 6 decline, Mandaadi has maintained a strong overall run and crossed the ₹50 crore India net milestone within its first week.
