Box Office Revenge: Dhurandhar 2 Rakes in Rs 120 Crore Before Opening Day

Dhurandhar 2 previews earn Rs 37.5 crore domestically; worldwide collections top Rs 120 crore.

The excitement for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is reaching fever pitch as advance booking numbers indicate a record-breaking start for the Ranveer Singh-starrer. The spy thriller sequel, directed by Aditya Dhar, is set to release in theatres on March 19, but paid preview shows on March 18 have already created a massive box office buzz.

According to early trade estimates, the film’s paid preview shows have grossed ₹37.5 crore domestically, making it the highest opening for an Indian film’s premiere collection. The previous record was held by OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, which earned approximately ₹25 crore during its premiere shows last year.

Trade analysts suggest that if ticket sales continue at the current pace, Dhurandhar 2 could cross ₹40 crore from paid previews alone by Wednesday. Regular bookings for standard shows, which began on Saturday, have also received strong audience response, adding to the film’s growing momentum.

The total domestic advance booking for the paid preview weekend has reportedly crossed ₹60 crore. Combined with the first day’s earnings of ₹23 crore, nearly 10 lakh tickets have already been sold, pushing the overall advance collection to over ₹120 crore worldwide even before the film’s official release.

The film brings back Ranveer Singh alongside R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi reprising their roles from the first installment. Akshaye Khanna, who played Rehman Dakait in the original, is expected to make a cameo in the sequel, adding to the anticipation among fans.

With record-setting advance bookings and strong audience anticipation, Dhurandhar 2 is poised to make a historic impact at the box office. The early numbers suggest the film could continue the franchise’s successful run while setting new benchmarks for Indian cinema premieres.
