Darshan Kumar, younger brother of T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar and a senior figure associated with the early growth of the music label, passed away in Delhi on April 18 at the age of 70, according to reports. Darshan Kumar played a significant behind-the-scenes role in the development of T-Series, the music and film production company founded by Gulshan Kumar in 1983. Over the decades, T-Series grew from a modest music label into one of India’s largest entertainment companies, expanding its reach into film production and digital content. While leadership of the company is currently under chairman Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Darshan Kumar was previously part of the organisation’s senior management and contributed during its formative and expansion years.
