Tiger Shroff Project with Vijay Krishna Acharya Not in Works, Filmmaker Clarifies Amid Reports
Filmmaker Vijay Krishna Acharya denies reports of a collaboration with actor Tiger Shroff, calling speculation incorrect and strange.
Reports suggesting a collaboration between actor Tiger Shroff and filmmaker Vijay Krishna Acharya for an upcoming action entertainer have been dismissed by the director, who termed the claims as “incorrect” and based on speculation. The rumours had gained traction in recent days, with multiple reports indicating that the project was in advanced stages of planning.
According to earlier media reports, the alleged film was expected to go on floors in August 2026, with a theatrical release targeted for 2027. The project was also said to be backed by producers Vinod Bhanushali and Tony D’Souza, further adding to its credibility among industry watchers. However, no official confirmation had been issued prior to Acharya’s clarification.
Responding to the speculation, Acharya stated that he was surprised by the reports and confirmed that no such collaboration is currently underway. He noted that he had come across the news while travelling and described it as "conjecture", emphasising that the information circulating about the project is not true. His remarks effectively put to rest the ongoing rumours surrounding the supposed partnership.

Acharya is best known for directing films such as Dhoom and Dhoom 3, both of which are part of one of Bollywood’s most successful action franchises. His association with high-profile action projects had contributed to the speculation that he might collaborate with Shroff, who is also known for his action-orientated roles in Hindi cinema.
Meanwhile, Shroff remains actively engaged in his current professional commitments and is reportedly shooting for an upcoming untitled project directed by Sachin Ravi. The film marks Ravi’s debut as a Hindi-language director and is being produced by Murad Khetani, indicating Shroff’s continued focus on expanding his filmography.
In a separate development, Shroff recently made headlines for a real estate transaction in Pune, where he sold a luxury apartment in Hadapsar for ₹8.87 crore. The property, located in the Yoo Pune development by Panchshil Realty, was originally purchased in March 2024 for ₹7.5 crore, reflecting a notable return on investment. The deal, registered on March 31, 2026, included three parking spaces and involved substantial stamp duty and registration charges, according to property records.
