Priyanka Chopra Once Blushed Over Her “Undying Love” for Shah Rukh Khan on National TV

An old clip from Koffee With Karan Season 3 (2007) has resurfaced and gone viral again on November 18, 2025, reminding fans why Priyanka Chopra was once Bollywood’s most unabashed Shah Rukh Khan fangirl. Appearing alongside then-rumoured boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka turned every rapid-fire question into an ode to SRK with zero hesitation.

When Karan Johar asked her to rank Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, and Shah Rukh Khan in terms of sex appeal, she instantly placed Shah Rukh at number one. The next question—“Khan of all seasons?”—got the exact same answer. By the third SRK-related query (“Who is the better TV host—Salman, Akshay, or Shah Rukh?”), Priyanka playfully interrupted: “Why do you keep putting him in every question?” Karan grinned and teased, “Such unconditional and undying love?” to which she shot back with a laugh, “I am very loyal as a person.”

The highlight came when Karan asked her to close her eyes, imagine the man of her dreams, and sing a song for him. Without missing a beat, Priyanka shut her eyes and crooned the iconic Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge—a song picturised on Shah Rukh and Kajol. The couch erupted in laughter, with Shahid Kapoor looking amused and Karan Johar declaring it one of the most memorable Koffee moments ever.

Years earlier, in a 2003 Cine Blitz interview, a 21-year-old Priyanka had already confessed her massive crush: “What’s sexy about Shah Rukh? Everything! He’s my favourite! In Suraj Hua Maddham… those loose kurtas… mmm, he looks absolutely sexy. His eyes are the sexiest—they can look right through you. I’ve always had a huge crush on Shah Rukh Khan. Not the ‘I-love-you-want-to-marry-you’ kind—it’s more like idolisation. I just love everything about the man. He can’t go wrong anywhere.”

The duo later teamed up for the blockbuster Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011), where their sizzling chemistry—especially in songs like Main Hoon Don and Aaj Ki Raat—only fuelled fan theories. Though they haven’t shared screen space since, the resurfaced clip has sent millennials into nostalgia overdrive, with comments flooding social media: “Peak 2000s Bollywood energy”, “Priyanka was literally all of us”, and “Still the most iconic KWK episode ever.”

Currently in India shooting SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi opposite Mahesh Babu, Priyanka continues to dominate global screens, but for a generation of fans, she will always be the girl who turned every rapid-fire round into a Shah Rukh Khan appreciation post.
