Welcome to the Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, has crossed the Rs 130 crore mark at the worldwide box office within its first week of release. Despite witnessing a decline in collections during the weekdays, the Ahmed Khan-directed comedy has maintained a strong overall performance. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 5.25 crore net in India on its seventh day across 9,917 shows.
The first Thursday collection represented a 14.6 percent decline from Wednesday, when the film earned Rs 6.15 crore net. After seven days, the movie's total India net collection stands at Rs 92.90 crore, while its gross domestic collection has reached Rs 110.62 crore. The figures indicate that the film remains close to crossing the Rs 100 crore net milestone in India despite the expected weekday slowdown.
The film began its box office run with Rs 3.75 crore from advance Thursday screenings before collecting Rs 15.25 crore on its opening Friday. Collections increased significantly over the weekend, with Rs 20 crore on Saturday and Rs 24.75 crore on Sunday. The film then earned Rs 8.50 crore on Monday, Rs 9.25 crore on Tuesday, Rs 6.15 crore on Wednesday and Rs 5.25 crore on Thursday.
Overseas markets have also contributed to the film's overall performance. Welcome to the Jungle collected approximately Rs 1.50 crore internationally on its seventh day, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 26.45 crore. With the domestic and international earnings combined, the film's worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 137.07 crore.
The film recorded an overall occupancy rate of 13.75 percent on its seventh day. Morning shows registered 9.08 percent occupancy, while afternoon screenings improved to 13.23 percent. Evening shows recorded 15.08 percent occupancy, with night screenings performing the strongest at 17.62 percent. Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur and Chennai were among the regions reporting comparatively stronger audience turnout.
Despite the gradual decline in daily collections, Welcome to the Jungle has completed its opening week with a strong worldwide total. The film's performance during its second weekend will now be closely watched to determine whether it can maintain momentum and achieve further box office milestones. The comedy's ability to attract audiences during the upcoming weekend will be crucial to its long-term theatrical performance.
