Vincy Asked to Reveal Actor who Misbehaved With Her

The Malayalam film industry has been rocked by the allegation from actress Vincy Aloshious, who recently revealed disturbing experiences involving a co-actor allegedly under the influence of drugs during a film shoot. 

Now, media reports have it that the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has expressed support for Vincy and has urged her to formally identify the individual involved.

Vincy alleged that a male co-actor misbehaved with her and her colleagues on set while under the influence of drugs. She described witnessing the actor spitting out a white powder and making inappropriate comments, including offering to fix her costume during a minor wardrobe issue.

Vincy had earlier stated that she would no longer work with actors who use drugs. 

Even as Mollywood reeled under the impact of the sordid revelations from Vincy, the apex body of actors and actresses, AMMA has expressed its willingness to take disciplinary action against the accused actor, provided Vincy formally identifies him. 

Jayan Cherthala, an office-bearer of AMMA’s ad-hoc committee, is quoted to have said "Even if it’s confidentially, if she informs AMMA, action will definitely be taken. AMMA can never condone such behaviour." AMMA has also urged Vincy to come forward with a formal complaint, assuring her of full support. Cherthala felt that Vincy might be holding back due to concerns about the controversy affecting her upcoming film's reception.

Meanwhile, Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) has pledged full support to Vincy if she chose to pursue legal action.

Fellow actresses Shruthi Rajanikanth and Bhagyalakshmi have also backed Vincy, and called for greater accountability in the film industry. 

The controversy has reignited discussions about substance abuse and misconduct in the Malayalam film industry. AMMA's proactive stance may be a shift from its earlier position of relative inertia. Now the ball is in Vincy's court. It remains to be seen whether she comes out with more revelations or thinks enough is enough.

There is also speculation on online forums about the possible identity of the misbehaving actor.
