Model slaps film producer at premiere, FIR filed
Accused of cheating ₹23 lakh over fake film promise
High drama unfolded at the premiere of the Hindi film So Long Valley on Friday night when model Ruchi Gujjar publicly slapped producer Karan Singh, accusing him of cheating her out of ₹23 lakh. The explosive moment was caught on camera and quickly went viral on social media.
According to Oshiwara police, Gujjar filed an FIR on Thursday alleging that Singh took money from her promising to launch a TV movie project. He reportedly assured her a profit share and on-screen credit. However, the project never took off, and the money was not returned.
Police have booked Singh under sections related to cheating and criminal breach of trust, based on Gujjar’s complaint.
