Game of Thrones Star Jerome Flynn Joins Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan
English actor Jerome Flynn, best known for playing the witty and battle-hardened Bronn in Game of Thrones, will be seen in a pivotal role in the Mohanlal-starrer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
L2: Empuraan, the highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer, has added a major international star to its cast. English actor Jerome Flynn, best known for playing the witty and battle-hardened Bronn in Game of Thrones, will be seen in a pivotal role in the Mohanlal-starrer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Flynn plays Boris Oliver in L2: Empuraan, and his first-look poster was recently unveiled on social media. Sharing the update, Prithviraj wrote, “Character No. 07 Jerome Flynn as Boris Oliver in #L2E #Empuraan.” Along with the poster, the makers also released a video featuring Flynn discussing his experience working on the film.
In the video, Flynn shared his excitement about being part of L2: Empuraan. “I play Boris in Empuraan, or L2:E. I’m not quite sure how I got roped into this, but I’m so glad I did. It was a completely different experience from what I’m used to in the UK or the US. To be part of Mollywood and get a taste of that was really special,” he said.
The actor also revealed his deep connection to India. “India was an important and precious part of my journey. I spent several years here in my late 20s and early 30s, mostly on spiritual retreats. The experience changed my life in the best way possible, so working on this film felt like coming home,” he added.
Although he didn’t film in India, Flynn felt the energy of the country on set. “The vibe was like being in the middle of a Delhi roundabout—beautiful orchestrated chaos. Everyone was sweet and passionate about their job, making it one of the most enjoyable projects I’ve ever worked on,” he said.
Fans of both Game of Thrones and Lucifer were thrilled. “Damn, Bronn in Empuraan? This is epic!” wrote one user. Another quipped, “Prithvi promised him a castle.”
L2: Empuraan is set to hit theatres on March 27, promising an action-packed cinematic spectacle.
